Job DescriptionPractice Area: Bankruptcy and Debt Resolution\n\nA well-established South Florida law firm is seeking a Florida-licensed attorney to join its bankruptcy practice. This position offers the opportunity to represent individuals and businesses facing significant financial challenges while working alongside an experienced legal team.\n\nThe attorney will manage bankruptcy matters through the various stages of representation, maintain direct communication with clients and appear before the Bankruptcy Court as required. The firm is looking for someone who can balance compassionate client service with sound legal judgment, organization and dependable file management.\nResponsibilities\n\n\n Advise individuals and business owners regarding available bankruptcy and debt-resolution options.\n Handle matters arising under Chapters 7, 11 and 13, depending on experience and case assignments.\n Review financial records, creditor information, assets, liabilities and supporting documentation.\n Prepare and review petitions, schedules, statements, motions, objections and related filings.\n Represent clients at Section 341 meetings, confirmation hearings, motion calendars and other bankruptcy proceedings.\n Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis concerning bankruptcy and creditor-related issues.\n Communicate with clients, trustees, creditors, opposing counsel and court personnel.\n Monitor deadlines and ensure that filings comply with applicable rules and procedural requirements.\n Use the federal CM/ECF system to review dockets and submit court filings.\n Work closely with paralegals and administrative staff to maintain accurate, organized and timely case files.\n Qualifications\n Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.\n Bankruptcy experience is strongly preferred, although attorneys with relevant litigation, consumer-finance or creditor-rights experience may be considered.\n Familiarity with federal bankruptcy procedure and electronic filing practices.\n\n
