Hiring Drivers in Centre County, PA to Start Immediately! Training Provided!

Join a long-established, modern transportation company that serves travelers, tourists, and local communities with safe and reliable bus services. In this role, you operate school buses on preestablished routes for morning drop off and afternoon pick up, with opportunities to drive motorcoach buses or assist with bus cleaning between routes. The company welcomes candidates without a CDL and provides paid training to help you earn your CDL certification.

Responsibilities:

• Operate buses safely on preestablished routes.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures while driving.
• Provide a professional, courteous, and customer-focused experience for passengers at all times.
• Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to identify and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe interior environment for passengers.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as cleaning buses and basic upkeep in the facility when assigned.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any concerns.
• Demonstrate reliability and strong tenure by maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled routes.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to safely operate large vehicles such as buses or trucks.
• Comfort working both on the road and in a shop or facility environment.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL, with training and certification provided by the company.
• Ability to work split shifts from 6:00 a.m.8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Work Environment:

You work primarily on the road, operating buses on established routes in and around the State College, Bellefonte, and Philipsburg areas. The schedule follows a first-shift, split-shift pattern of 6:00 a.m.8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Between routes, you may choose to work additional hours driving or assisting in the shop with cleaning and general bus upkeep. The role combines time spent driving with time in the facility, offering a mix of on-the-road and in-shop activities in a professional transportation environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of State College, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $36400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
